Clock Hours

Continuing Education Clock Hours

To maintain their certification, educators are required by law to complete continuing education credits throughout their career. These credits are offered through “clock hours,” which are units of credit assigned to educators at a professional development or training event. Clock hour rules are available in Chapter 181-85 WAC. For more information on clock hours, please visit OSPI’s website on Educator Clock Hour Information.

The Sequim School District partners with Olympic Educational Service District (OESD) 114 to manage clock hours.  OESD 114 uses a program called pdEnroller to track and approve clock hours.  pdEnroller is a mobile-friendly web service for event registration, payment, clock hour approval, and clock hour recording.  For further information on pdEnroller, please review the pdEnroller User Guide

To request clock hours for a training and workshop for a school district sponsored event that is not offered through OSPI or and ESD,  please complete a Clock Hour Request Form and submit to the Teaching & Learning Office following the instructions on the form.  Please note that the Clock Hour Request Form must be submitted at least three (3) weeks in advance of any such training.  Requests for clock hours after an event will not be approved.
